Changelog

What’s new in Scanfully: the improvements you can see and use in the dashboard, the monitoring, the emails, the Scanfully API and the MCP server.

  • See which plugins have an update: the plugins page shows the latest version under the installed one, with an Update available filter. The Scanfully API and the MCP server include the latest version too, so you can ask your AI app which plugins need updating.
  • Mute a site health issue you have decided to accept. It stops counting as a warning or critical issue until it is fixed or changes, and you can mute the same issue on your other sites in one go. Unmute it from the Muted list on the health page.
  • Group the sites overview by status, environment, client, label, WordPress or PHP version, or a WordPress setting.
  • Add WordPress version, PHP version, disk usage and SSL certificate columns to the sites overview under Choose columns, and filter on WordPress or PHP version, search engine visibility, debug mode or multisite with Add filter.
  • The Sync sites button in the top bar asks the Scanfully plugin on every connected site to send fresh data right away. You can also do this through the Scanfully API.
  • Add a billing email address in your billing details, so invoices and payment reminders go to that address.
  • Documentation at docs.scanfully.com, linked from the help links in the dashboard and from the support page. This changelog lives there now too.
  • The Activity page loads much faster, especially for sites with a long history.
  • When you connect an AI app, Read only access is now selected by default.
  • Broken links and media that never answer (a timeout, an unknown host, a refused connection or a certificate error) are now reported, with the status No response, after one retry.
  • Crawl settings work as expected: the crawl no longer goes one click deeper than your maximum depth, changes and re-crawls take effect right away instead of up to a week later, unticking a media type works, the broken media crawl uses its own depth and pages, and Stylesheets checks only real stylesheets.
  • Email checks no longer report a missing DKIM record because they read your mail provider’s own signature (such as Postmark’s) instead of your domain’s.
  • Sites on MariaDB now get their database version checked against MariaDB’s own release cycle.
  • Notification emails and digests show dates in your custom date format, the same as the dashboard.
  • Signed-in visitors of a shared report now see the report instead of being sent to the site page.
  • The client count in the sidebar now includes clients without sites.

Scanfully 2.0 is our biggest update yet: a completely new dashboard, notifications you set up once for your whole account, and new ways to work with Scanfully from your own tools and AI apps.

  • Every screen is redesigned, from the sites overview to each monitoring page, the sign-in screens and the upgrade page.
  • Choose a light or dark theme, or follow your system, under Preferences in your account settings.
  • Every monitoring page opens with a headline that tells you the current status and what to do next.
  • Insights on the Uptime, Page and Downtime pages point out what stands out, such as a page that got slower than usual.
  • Group your sites by client and label, each with its own color, and filter the sites overview by status, environment, client or label.
  • Save a filtered sites overview as a view, shown next to All sites.
  • Sites show their favicon in the sites overview.
  • Press Cmd+K to jump to a site or an account page. Switching sites keeps you on the same screen.
  • The certificate page shows when the certificate was last checked.
  • Better keyboard and screen reader support everywhere, with a visible focus ring, stronger contrast, readable charts and shapes next to colors for colorblind users.
  • Set up notifications once for your whole account instead of per site. Each notification picks its sites (all sites, all with exceptions, or hand-picked) and can send to several channels.
  • Every account starts with two notifications: “Downtime - immediate” and “Everything else”. New sites are covered automatically. Your existing notifications were converted for you.
  • Fewer, smarter alerts: related alerts are grouped, a site that flaps up and down gets a few minutes to settle, and you can set quiet hours. Downtime alerts are never held back.
  • A daily digest email with what is still open, the alerts that were sent and an overview of your sites.
  • Snooze a site, a category or a single alert, from 1 hour to 1 week or until it recovers, straight from any notification.
  • The delivery log shows what was sent, held or snoozed, and why.
  • Send a test message to check a channel.
  • Trial accounts send email notifications to the account email only. Paid accounts can add up to 25 other addresses, each with a one-click unsubscribe link.
  • All emails have a fresh new look.
  • The Scanfully API lets you read your sites, pages, clients, labels, monitoring data and activity, and start scans, from your own tools. Create API tokens in your account settings.
  • The Scanfully MCP server connects AI apps such as Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and VS Code to your account with one click, so you can ask about your sites in plain language.
  • See and disconnect your connected apps in your account settings.
  • The audit log in the account menu lists the changes made through API tokens and connected apps.
  • The billing page shows your subscription at a glance, and you can download every invoice as a PDF.
  • Invoice emails now come from Scanfully Billing.
  • Connecting a WordPress site has a clearer, simpler screen.
  • When your trial has ended, the dashboard tells you so and points you to the upgrade.
  • Fewer false alerts: certificate alerts no longer fire on a single network hiccup, DNS records are no longer reported as removed when DNS servers briefly disagree, and redirects to other websites are no longer scanned as pages of your site.
  • Email checks for sites on a subdomain now use the parent domain’s SPF, DKIM, DMARC and MX records.
  • Showing older activity no longer skips events.

  • Data from the Scanfully plugin is no longer lost when our servers have a hiccup; the plugin retries instead.
  • Scans of sites with nested sitemaps no longer get stuck.
  • Pages with an address that is not a valid URL can no longer be added, and no longer disrupt uptime checks.

  • When a firewall or bot protection blocks our checks, Scanfully now shows the site as Blocked instead of down, with a badge in the sites overview and a banner on the site and uptime pages.
  • Uptime checks no longer fail for pages that have been served from cache for weeks.

  • Edit links in the broken links and broken media reports work for pages with a query string in their address.
  • The Scanfully plugin stays connected when a connection refresh gets interrupted.

  • Ignore a broken media item so it no longer shows up in your reports.
  • Slack notifications are delivered for every type of alert.

  • New health checks for WordPress security updates and for sites running an older major version of WordPress.
  • The WordPress version check knows about security fixes for older WordPress versions, so you are no longer warned when your version is still safe.
  • No more false end-of-life warnings for server software kept up to date by your hosting’s operating system.
  • Sites you removed no longer send email health notifications.

  • Fewer DNS change alerts: IP changes on sites behind Cloudflare, records that only follow a CNAME and routine SOA record changes no longer send notifications.
  • New notification types are turned on by default.
  • Broken link scans are faster and lighter, and a scan that gets stuck restarts automatically.
  • Links to Bluesky are no longer reported as broken.
  • Links in email health notifications open the right page.
  • Saving the uptime settings of a site works again.

1.10.1: DNS monitoring, email authentication and smarter uptime

Section titled “1.10.1: DNS monitoring, email authentication and smarter uptime”

  • DNS monitoring: Scanfully watches your DNS records from several locations and tells you when something changes, with the old and new values side by side and how much the change matters. CAA, DNSSEC and SPF are checked too.
  • Email authentication: see the state of SPF, DKIM, DMARC, MX, MTA-STS and TLS-RPT for your domain, and get notified when something weakens and when it recovers.
  • Uptime that knows about CDNs: when a CDN such as Cloudflare or BunnyCDN keeps serving a cached page while your server is down, Scanfully shows a warning instead of saying all is well.
  • Uptime settings per site: failure and recovery thresholds, timeouts, verification and which status codes count as up.
  • Update your payment method yourself from the billing page.
  • The plugins page groups vulnerabilities by severity, with filters and collapsible rows.
  • Vulnerability emails show one row per plugin with its highest severity.
  • Notification settings are grouped into uptime, DNS, certificates and performance.
  • Performance charts no longer let a single spike flatten the whole chart.
  • No more false “recovered” emails for sites behind an enterprise edge cache, such as Servebolt, Kinsta or Rocket.net.

  • Email deliverability monitoring under Site Health, including checks against email blocklists.
  • Notification events are grouped by category in the settings.
  • The certificate revocation check, since certificate authorities such as Let’s Encrypt no longer support it.
  • New sites no longer get a “recovered” deliverability email.

  • Scanfully checks your WordPress plugins for known vulnerabilities and emails you when one is found.
  • A new Plugins page with every installed plugin, its vulnerabilities and when the list was last synced.
  • A vulnerability summary on the dashboard and on each site’s overview.
  • Plugin and vulnerability names with special characters display correctly.
  • A closed vulnerability no longer marks every plugin version as affected.

  • See your payment history on the billing page.
  • Directory sizes in Site Health show in easy-to-read units.
  • Performance charts grouped by day show the right labels.
  • Shared reports leave out the broken links you ignored.
  • Timezones and post titles with special characters display correctly.
