Get started with Scanfully

Getting a site into Scanfully takes a few minutes. You create an account, add the site, and Scanfully starts checking it.

1. Create your account

  1. Go to app.scanfully.com/sign-up, enter your email address and a password, accept the terms and click Create account.
  2. Open the confirmation email and follow its link.
  3. The Welcome to Scanfully page explains what Scanfully monitors. Click Start using Scanfully to go to your Sites list.

A new account starts as a trial. A trial account monitors one site; upgrade to Pro to add more. See Billing.

2. Add your first site

There are two ways to add a site:

  • Install the plugin (recommended): you install the free Scanfully plugin on your WordPress site and connect it to your account. You get everything Scanfully checks, including site health, the plugin inventory with known vulnerabilities, WordPress activity and email deliverability.
  • Add by URL only: you enter the address and Scanfully monitors it from the outside. You get uptime, performance, the certificate, DNS and broken links and media. Use this for a site that does not run WordPress or where you cannot install plugins.

You can start either way from the dashboard with Add site. See Add a site. If you would rather start in WordPress, install the plugin there and follow Connect your website to Scanfully.

3. Let the first checks run

Section titled “3. Let the first checks run”

Once a site is added, Scanfully schedules its checks and queues the first scans. You can follow them in Jobs & runs. Within minutes the site overview fills with uptime, response times and, with the plugin, the site’s health report.
